The Author’s Perspective Understanding the Author’s mindset is essential when approaching “The African Twelve Apostles – The Liberators Book.” This work seeks to challenge the harmful stereotype that African leaders are inherently violent or rebellious, instead presenting a renewed narrative for Africa. The African Twelve Apostles represent those who sacrificed their lives for the continent’s peace—champions dedicated to uplifting the dignity and empowerment of Africans. These men fought tirelessly for freedom from enslavement and injustice; many were assassinated or martyred in the process. Their sacrifices paved the way for Africa’s independence, liberty, and human rights. Notably, since the Organization of African Unity’s founding in 1963, more than 28 African heads of state and descendant leaders have been assassinated.
